Lakhs of people were affected due to closure of railway e-ticket service today, IRCTC ticketing platform shut down.

IRCTC website server down: The online website and mobile app of Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the e-ticketing platform of Indian Railways, is temporarily unavailable today, Thursday. As per the information provided by the Railway Ticketing Platform, the platform is currently inaccessible due to maintenance activities.

As per the notification on IRCTC website, e-ticketing service will not be available for now due to maintenance activities. Try later. Further for cancellation of ticket-TDR filing please contact customer care number 14646, 08044647999 and 08035734999 at etickets@irctc.co.in.

It is noteworthy that the timing of Tatkal tickets on IRCTC is usually 10 am. Whereas for sleeper class the Tatkal ticket booking time is 11 am. However, due to the closure of the ticketing platform today, lakhs of people across the country will have to face a lot of trouble.
