Chandigarh, 15 November (HS). Guru Parva is being celebrated all over the world on Friday. On the occasion of the 555th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, lakhs of devotees paid obeisance at Sachkhand Harimandir Sahib Darbar Sahib on Friday. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann along with comedian Karmjeet Anmol reached Chhathi Patshahi Gurdwara Sahib located at Ranjit Avenue in Amritsar to pay obeisance.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has estimated three lakh devotees to reach Darbar Sahib by tonight. CM Bhagwant Mann has greeted everyone on the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said that today he paid obeisance at Chhathi Patshahi Gurdwara Sahib in Amritsar. To avoid any trouble to the Sangat at Darbar Sahib, he did not go to the Golden Temple. During this, the media asked him about giving land to Haryana in Chandigarh, but he refused to answer. He said that he did not want to make any political comment today.

Grand decorations were done at the Golden Temple in Amritsar and there will be fireworks at Darbar Sahib during the night. This time, keeping pollution in mind, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee has made arrangements to burst special types of firecrackers, in which lights will come out and there will be very little smoke. Apart from this, more than one lakh ghee lamps will also be lit in the Golden Temple.
