Lakhanpur Municipal Committee tried to get the cleaning done, cleaning workers expressed protest

Kathua 19 November (Hindus). Temporary employees of the Municipal Committee of Lakhanpur, the gateway to Jammu and Kashmir, are on strike for the last three days over their pending demands. Due to which filth has spread everywhere in the entrance of the state. When the permanent employees of Lakhanpur Municipal Committee came out for the cleaning campaign, the temporary employees sitting on strike stopped the work of the cleaning employees and expressed their anger against the CEO of Lakhanpur Municipal Committee.

The sanitation workers of Lakhanpur Municipal Committee are on strike for the last 3 days due to which filth has spread in the main market of Lakhanpur. After this, CEO Lakhanpur instructed the permanent employees to do the cleaning. The information of which reached the cleaning staff of Municipal Council Kathua who were on strike and all of them reached Lakhanpur and stopped the cleaning staff from working. At the same time, the tractor trolley engaged in the cleaning campaign was emptied of garbage in the middle of the main market. The sanitation workers said that the strike is going on in Kathua for the last 18 days regarding their pending demands. Whereas in Lakhanpur, temporary sanitation workers are on strike for the last three days, due to which there is an atmosphere of filth in Lakhanpur. After this, CEO Lakhanpur instructed only four permanent sanitation workers of the committee to do the cleaning. He said that he also does not want filth but his pending demands are not being fulfilled for the last several years due to which he is on strike and CEO Lakhanpur is trying to influence his strike, which he will not tolerate.

While talking to the same journalists, CEO Lakhanpur said that there are only four permanent sanitation workers in Lakhanpur while there are 27 temporary workers who are on strike for the last three days. Due to which filth spread in Lakhanpur. Because Lakhanpur is the gateway to Jammu and Kashmir, thousands of passengers come and go here due to which dirt had spread at Lakhanpur main base and they had instructed the permanent employees to clean but the cleaning staff of Municipal Council Kathua Lakhanpur. Arrived and disrupted the cleaning operation. He said that the temporary employees who are on strike for their demands were not stopped, but the permanent employees who are working in Lakhanpur Municipal Committee, it is their duty to do their duty, but the sanitation workers sitting on strike hindered this cleanliness campaign. At present, there are piles of filth in Lakhanpur, the gateway to the state, now people coming from outside states are going to be welcomed with filth. Due to which it has become a big headache for CEO Lakhanpur. Same is the condition of Kathua, there is filth everywhere in Kathua city, regarding which the administration has not shown any seriousness till now and the danger of epidemic is also looming in the coming days. The sanitation workers warned that if anyone tried to influence their strike, there would be a protest against him and no officer should force permanent or non-permanent employees to work.
