Lady superstar embroiled in legal disputes, know the whole matter of ‘Chandramukhi’ controversy

South’s lady superstar Nayanthara is once again stuck in legal trouble. Her documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’, which was released on Netflix on November 18, 2024, continues to be embroiled in controversies. Earlier, South star Dhanush had sent a notice regarding this documentary, and now the makers of Tamil film ‘Chandramukhi’ have also raised objection regarding it.

‘Chandramukhi’ controversy: Demand for Rs 5 crore

According to media reports, the makers of Tamil film ‘Chandramukhi’ have sent a legal notice to Nayanthara and Netflix.

    • Some special scenes from the film ‘Chandramukhi’ released in 2005 have been used in the documentary without permission.
  • Compensation:
    • The makers have demanded a compensation amount of Rs 5 crore from Nayanthara and Netflix.

Actor Chitra Laxman told on YouTube that the makers of ‘Chandramukhi’ have objection to the inclusion of clips from the film in this documentary. There has been no response from Nayanthara or Netflix on this controversy yet.

This is not the first time that ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’ has been controversial.
