The Kuwaiti government has announced a compensation of 15 thousand US dollars or 12.5 lakh rupees to the families of the victims of the fire in Mangaf area of South Ahmadi province. 50 people died in this fire. 46 of them were Indians.

The building housed 196 migrant workers, most of whom were Indians. The Arab Times newspaper reported on Tuesday that on the orders of Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the victims' families will receive compensation of US$15,000 (Rs 12.5 lakh).

The report said the relevant embassies will distribute funds to the families of those affected by the fire, expediting the process and ensuring that aid reaches the affected families promptly.
The central government will give Rs 2 lakh and the Kerala government will give Rs 5 lakh
At the same time, the Government of India has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the families of Indian citizens who lost their lives in the massive fire. The Kerala government had said last week that it would provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who died in the fire disaster in the state.
46 Kerala has the largest population of Indians
Among the Indians who died in the accident, 24 were from Kerala. The Kuwaiti government has launched an investigation into the incident. Kuwait's public prosecutor said on Twitter that the aim of the investigation is to uncover the circumstances behind the incident and find out what caused the deadly fire.
