Kushinagar buzzes with tourists from European country France

Kushinagar, 30 October (Hindustan Reporter). Kushinagar, the place of Mahaparinirvana of Gautam Buddha, was buzzing with tourists from the European country France on Wednesday. The tourists not only looked closely at the heritage obtained from the excavation but also got emotional after seeing the sleeping statue of Buddha in the Mahaparinirvana Temple. Tourists paid obeisance to the statue and offered their clothes. While walking, the tourists talked about Buddhism in France and the growing influence of Buddhism in France was also shared.

Group leader Gilbert says that the number of Buddhist followers is increasing in France. The situation is such that the number of Buddhist meditation centers in France has increased to more than 200. Buddhism has become the fourth largest religion in France. In France, people are also working in accordance with the basic spirit of Buddhism, due to which many shelter centers have been opened on a large scale in the rural areas there.

The team has come on a ten-day trip

The French team has come on a ten-day visit to the Buddhist circuit. During the journey that started from Sarnath on 22nd October, the team reached Kushinagar in the evening via Bodhgaya, Rajgiri, Nalanda, Vikramshila University, Bhagalpur, Vaishali. The team will leave for home from Delhi via Lumbini (Nepal) via Shravasti.

Tibetan Buddhist ritual worship

Lama Jangchup Gyaltsen of the Buddhist Monastery in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh conducted the worship for the French tourists in Tibetan Buddhist rituals at the Mahaparinirvana Temple. Bhikshu Nandaka, Bhikshu Nand Ratan, Bhante Ashok, Bhante Upali participated in the worship. Buddhist monk Ashoka said Buddhist teachers from different traditions had visited France since the early 1970s, including those from Tibet. The French tourists who came to Kushinagar were initiated into the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
