Kolkata, May 13 (Hindustan Reporter) Kunal Ghosh has returned to Trinamool again. Days after he was removed from the post of general secretary of the West Bengal party unit, Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh on Monday was included in the list of star campaigners for the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections.
Trinamool Congress on Monday submitted the list of its star campaigners to the Election Commission. Ghosh's name is also included in this list.
Kunal Ghosh said, “I am a loyal soldier of Trinamool. Whatever work the party assigns to me, I will work accordingly.
After being removed from the party post, Ghosh had met Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha member Derek O'Brien in the presence of state Education Minister Bratya Basu. Since this meeting, there were signs of reconciliation between Ghosh and the party leadership.
Earlier this month, the Trinamool Congress had removed him from the post of state general secretary and star campaigner list after he shared the stage with BJP's Kolkata North candidate Tapas Roy at an event.
Before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Rai had left the Trinamool Congress and resigned from the Assembly as an MLA.
