Nainital, 25 November (HS). Three professors of Kumaon University were honored for their excellence and dedication in the teacher felicitation ceremony held at Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun on Monday.
The fifth Dehradun International Science and Technology Mahotsav was organized under the joint aegis of Ministry of Higher Education, Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (U-COST), ONGC, Science Technology and Agricultural Research and Development Society and Divya Himgiri.
During this, Research Director of Kumaon University, Prof. Nand Gopal Sahu and Professor of Biotechnology Department, Prof. Veena Pandey was awarded the ‘Excellence in the Research of the Year’ award and Dr. Pooja Joshi Paliwal, Professor, Department of Commerce, DSB Campus, Nainital, was awarded the ‘Teacher of the Year’ award.
It is reported that the screening process for this prestigious award was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. Harendra Bisht, Director of CSIR Indian Petroleum Institute, Dehradun.
Organizer Secretary Kunwar Raj Asthana, Vice Chancellor of Technical University Prof. Omkar Singh, Director General of U-CAST Durgesh Pant, Director of Technical Education RP Gupta and Joint Director of Higher Education Dr. AS Uniyal etc. were also present.
