Haldwani, September 10 (HS). Kumaon University Nainital Men's Chess Tournament was organized at Chanakya Law College Rudrapur. Chess players from Ramnagar, Khatima, Haldwani, Nainital, Halduchad participated in it.
In the competition, MBGPG College Haldwani won the championship for the sixth time. MBGPG College defeated DSB 3-2 in the semi-final and Ramnagar Mahavidyalaya 5-0 in the final. Ashutosh Singh Khati with 1529 FIDE rated, Aman Singh Mehra from MBGPG College, Mayank Bisht, Priyanshu Bisht from DSB College Nainital and Himanshu Kumar from Khatima with 1672 FIDE rated were selected in the North Zone team for Kumaon University. Among the players of MBPGP College Haldwani, Aditya Kushwaha, Ashutosh Singh Khati, Manish Fartyal, Jitendra Singh, Aman Mehra participated.
