Hisar, August 4 (HS). Bishnoi Ratna Kuldeep Bishnoi, patron of the All India Bishnoi Mahasabha, has said that Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj founded the Bishnoi religion for the welfare of the entire humanity. The Bishnoi community has always sacrificed everything for the welfare of humanity as well as for the environment and animal protection.
Kuldeep Bishnoi was addressing the program organized on Sawan Amavasya at Saathri temple in Rawatkheda village of Nalwa constituency on Sunday. He took blessings of Swami Ramanand and unveiled the statue of mother Amrita Devi who was martyred for the Khejadli tree. The program was presided over by the National President of the Mahasabha Devendra Budia. Kuldeep Bishnoi said that Rawatkheda is a historical village where Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj ji had also come. My father Choudhary Bhajanlal ji took many steps for the upliftment of the society. Choudhary Bhajanlal ji himself formed environmental courts. In the year 1971, while being the Agriculture Minister, he passed orders banning the hunting of wild animals. Similarly, on 27 August 1979, Choudhary Bhajanlal got the Bishnoi dominated Abohar area of Punjab declared as a wildlife sanctuary.
The special thing is that Choudhary Bhajanlal took the initiative of distributing free saplings to the farmers in the villages. He got Khejri declared as the state tree of Rajasthan and also got a postage stamp issued on Khejri tree. He established a modern university in the name of Guru Jabheshwar Maharaj in Hisar. Following in his footsteps, he is constantly trying to work towards the upliftment of the society. He said that ever since Devendra became the President of Budhiya Mahasabha, he has been continuously working for the welfare of the society. Apart from the above, Randhir Panihar, Senior Vice President Subhash Dehdoo, Bishnoi Sabha Hisar President Jagdish Kadwasra, Ramchandra Godara, Shriram Sighad Sarpanch, Surendra, Baldev Khokhar, Sahdev Kalirana, Rajaram Khichad, Nihal Singh Godara, Baldev Lohamrod, Vijay Singh Dehdoo and many other dignitaries were present in the program.
