Faridabad, June 9 (HS). Newly elected MP from Faridabad Krishan Pal Gurjar has been made a minister for the third time in the Modi cabinet. Gurjar took oath as Union Minister of State on Sunday. Earlier also, he was working as Union Minister of State in the Modi government in 2014 and 2019.
This is the third consecutive time that Krishan Pal Gurjar has become a minister. In the year 2014, when Krishan Pal Gurjar was elected MP for the first time, he was made the Union Minister of State for Road Transport, later his ministry was changed and he was given the charge of Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment. After this, in 2019, when Krishan Pal Gurjar defeated Congress candidate Avtar Singh Bhadana by a huge margin of 613938 votes and got 913222 votes, even then he was rewarded for this huge victory in the form of a ministerial post. Currently he was the Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Energy.
Now he has scored a hat-trick by winning for the third time in a row and defeated Congress candidate Mahendra Pratap by a margin of about 1.7 lakh votes. In such a situation, the importance of his victory has increased further and he was rewarded with a ministerial position in Modi Government-3. On becoming a minister for the third time in the Modi Government, his supporters in Faridabad celebrated it by playing drums and distributing laddus.
As soon as Krishan Pal Gurjar took oath as minister, workers gathered at his office in Sector-28 and people congratulated each other and made this moment memorable by singing and dancing. Expressing their happiness, BJP workers said that it is a matter of pride for Faridabad that Krishan Pal Gurjar has become a part of the Modi cabinet for the third time, which will accelerate the development of Faridabad.
Four consecutive victories increased political stature
Faridabad MP Krishan Pal Gurjar's record of winning four consecutive elections increased his political stature. In the year 2009, he contested from Tigaon Assembly and won this election. After this, in 2014, he was made the BJP's Lok Sabha candidate and here too he did not disappoint the party and won. In the year 2019, BJP again fielded him in the electoral battle and this time he increased his political stature in the BJP by registering the third-highest victory in the country. This time in 2024, the party again expressed confidence in him and he also lived up to the party's trust and won. The record of becoming an MP from Faridabad for three consecutive times is also registered in the name of Krishan Pal Gurjar. Before this, no MP has been able to win three consecutive times from here and Krishan Pal Gurjar has become the first MP from Faridabad to become a minister for the third consecutive time in the Modi government.
