Raigarh, 29 September (Hindustan Reporter). Kotwali police registered a crime in the case of kidnapping and rape of a minor girl and arrested the accused within 24 hours and sent him on judicial remand on Sunday. The girl's father lodged a report at the Kotwali police station on Saturday, September 28, that Karan Paav of village Chakradharpur (Chunchuna) seduced his daughter and took him away on a motorcycle with his friend and Karan established physical relations with the girl. On the report the crime was registered under BNS 6 POCSO Act.
The girl's father told that his wife and daughter work as laborers in drain construction work in Kotrarod area. Where Karan Pav of village Chakradharpur (Chunchuna) used to work as a tractor driver under the contractor. On the afternoon of 22nd September, the girl left saying that she was going to her aunt's house and had gone somewhere, the address of which was not found after a lot of searching. On September 28, Kotwar of village Chakradharpur (Chunchuna) called and informed that the girl has been found. Then the villagers went to Chakradharpur (Chunchuna) where the girl told that Karan Pav, on the pretext of marriage, took her along with his friend on a motorcycle and brought her to Raigarh, from where Karan took her to Chandrapur for a tour. The next day, Karan had physical relations with her in Tilga forest and took her to his home.
Taking immediate action, the police took the accused Karan Paav into custody today and after taking the girl's statement, medical etc. and took the girl safely to her family and the accused Karan Paav's father Asaram Paav, age 19 years, resident of village Chakradharpur (Chunchuna ) has been arrested on the action of Police Station Chakradharnagar District Raigarh and sent on remand.
