Korba, August 12 (HS) A meeting was held in the Collectorate hall on Monday under the chairmanship of Collector Ajit Vasant regarding rationalization of schools operating in the district. He gave instructions to complete the process with complete transparency and within the time limit as per the instructions of the state government. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Sambit Mishra, Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Pratishtha Mamgai, District Education Officer T P Upadhyay, all Sub-Divisional Officers including Revenue Officers of the Education Department and Women and Child Development were present.
The collector, while directing the education department officials, said that the instructions received from the state government should be fully followed in the rationalization of schools. District level and block level committees have been formed for rationalization. He said that this process should be completed in the district with complete transparency and without any doubt within the stipulated time limit. For this, the departmental officers should prepare the list of schools and teachers for rationalization with utmost care without any possibility of mistake. The collector directed that single criteria should be followed in all the blocks of the district to complete the process. There should be no difference in the way the block level committee works under any circumstances. There should not be any complaint regarding the process from any block. There should not be any such work which the teachers object to. All BEOs should ensure strict compliance of the guidelines issued by the government.
The collector said that with the completion of the process, the problem of shortage of teachers in the education department will almost end. Sufficient teachers will be available in all schools for teaching the children. Due to which the education level of the children will improve. For this, the officers should take this work seriously and complete it within the time limit. Prepare the list of schools in the district on the basis of the number of children enrolled in the schools till 31 July 2024, along with this, the list of surplus teachers in the district, teacherless schools, single teacher schools was also asked to be submitted to the committee within the time limit. He directed the SDM and the officers and employees of the Women and Child Development Department included in the block level committee to provide full cooperation to the education department.
