Korba, 03 October (Hindustan Reporter). Korba Police has arrested a syndicate selling illegal raw Mahua liquor and seized a large quantity of liquor. Police recovered 577 liters of illegal Mahua liquor and demolished the liquor making furnace and material.
Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari said on Thursday that the police is running a vigilant Korba campaign to stay away from drugs and strict action will be taken against those selling illegal liquor. Action has been taken against eight accused in this case. Korba Police has seized 8852 liters of liquor so far this year, which is an increase of 23 percent compared to last year.
Police conducted raids in village Bundeli, Nevasa, Sirki and Cheetapali and recovered illegal liquor. People were made aware against drugs by setting up Jan Chaupal in Police Station Bankimogra and Katghora. This action of Korba Police is a big message for those selling illegal liquor. Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari has appealed to the people to stay away from drugs and cooperate with the police in making the society clean.
