After this, doctors have started working in the essential and emergency services of all hospitals from today but they are not working in the OPD. On this, the doctors say that they have partially returned to work, so they will not work in the OPD, they will only work for essential and emergency services.
The fight is not over yet, let's wait for 1 week
Doctors say that Mamata Banerjee has assured that all their demands will be met and the strike will not end completely until the accused in the case are punished. On August 9, junior doctors stopped working in protest against the brutality against female trainee doctors at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
They were on strike for the last 41 days to get justice for the victim. The doctors say that their fight for justice is not over yet. They will wait for a week to implement the promises made by the Bengal government and if it is not fulfilled then they will go on strike again. The doctors demand that the victim who lost his life in this incident should get justice.
You will have to wait for the next 7 days or else…
The junior doctors said that on our demand, Kolkata Police Commissioner, Director of Medical Education and Director of Health Department have been removed. Our demand to remove state Health Secretary N.S. Nigam and end the culture of intimidation in hospitals continues. We will wait for the next 7 days for our demand of removal of Health Secretary to be met, otherwise we will strike again.
