Congress MP and leader of opposition in Parliament Rahul Gandhi reached Kolhapur in Maharashtra on Saturday. Here Rahul Gandhi said that to protect the Constitution, it is necessary to remove the current limit of 50 percent from reservation.
Speaking at the Constitution commemoration in Kolhapur, he said Congress and India Bloc will ensure passage of legislation to remove this 50 per cent cap. He said that we will ensure passing of the law on caste census in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and no power can stop it. He said that the history of Dalits or deprived classes is not taught in schools and alleged that efforts are being made to erase that history. The leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha further said that if you look at the OBC community, like when I shook hands with Swapnilkumar, who gave me the idol, I realized that there is skill in this hand.
