Koderma, 13 November (Hindustan Reporter). Voting was completed in Koderma assembly constituency. This time no queue of voters was seen in Jhumritilaiya urban area and Koderma. At some places, EVMs were replaced after they were reported to be faulty. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the people regarding voting. In rural areas, women and men were seen standing in queues waiting for their turn.
A total of 13 candidates are in the election fray from Koderma Assembly, people exercised their franchise to decide their fate. 429 centers were set up in Koderma. Extensive security arrangements were made at all the polling stations. During this period, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the voters. The district administration provided minimum basic facilities at the booths. Model polling stations with special facilities were also created, where voters were welcomed.
Koderma MP and Union Minister Annapurna Devi voted in Charadih while BJP candidate and MLA Dr Neera Yadav along with her family reached Jharitand booth number 239 of Indarwa and exercised her franchise. Independent Shalini Gupta cast her vote in Navalshahi and RJD candidate Subhash Yadav cast her vote in Jhumritilaiya.
Villagers filed application against BLO
The villagers applied to the Sector Magistrate in the name of the District Returning Officer regarding the BLO influencing the elections in favor of a particular candidate. It has been said in the application that Sakaldev Prasad is the BLO of booth number 190. He is also working as a para teacher in middle school Chandwara. During the elections, they were violating their duties by coming out of the polling booth and influencing the voters in support of a particular party candidate. Many villagers have signed the application. In this regard, Sector Magistrate Sanjay Kumar said that the information about the received application has been given to the Circle Officer and Block Development Officer by telephone. The District Election Officer has also been informed for further action.
DC, SP, DDC voted
District Election Officer cum DC Megha Bhardwaj cast her vote at the polling center located at Koderma Project Girls High School, Koderma. He appealed to the people of the district to come out of their homes and participate in this great festival of democracy by voting as much as possible. Police Captain Anudeep Singh exercised his franchise along with his wife Bhavana at Project Girls High School. DDC Rituraj reached Adarsh polling station, Koderma and cast his vote. After voting, DDC Rituraj appealed to all the voters to vote in maximum numbers and become participants in this great festival of democracy.

Voting remained peaceful in various remote areas of Markachho block. Here in Markachho block, 15.99 percent voting took place from 7 o’clock to 9 o’clock and 33.83 percent voting took place till 11 o’clock. There was 47.85 percent voting till 1 pm and 58.82 percent voting till 3 pm. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among new voters and women to vote while people kept coming and going to vote at many booths throughout the day.
