Ravindra Waikar applied for recounting when Amol Kirtikar was leading by 1 vote after 26 rounds of counting. After recounting and verification of invalid postal votes, Ravindra Waikar defeated Amol Kirtikar by 48 votes. This is the smallest margin of victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Ravindra Waikar emerged victorious by 49 votes

It is worth noting that when Amol Kirtikar was declared the winner by a margin of 681 votes, Ravindra Waikar had demanded a recount of the votes. However, in the recount, Ravindra Waikar is leading by 75 votes. After this, Amol Kirtikar again raised an objection and the postal votes were counted. In the counting, Amol Kirtikar got 1500 votes and Ravindra Waikar got 1549 votes.

Out of 48 seats, only 9 seats went to BJP's account

Out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, BJP has won only 9 seats. NCP Sharad Pawar faction won 8 seats. Congress got 13 seats. Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde faction got 7 seats. NCP (Ajit Pawar) group got one seat. Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) won 9 seats.
