Bank holiday today 3 December 2025: The last month of the year 2025 i.e. December has started. This month brings with itself the harsh cold, Christmas and New Year celebrations, but also a lot of bank holidays.   • 12 December (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya due to the death anniversary of ‘Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma’.
  • 18 December (Thursday): There will be a holiday in Meghalaya in memory of ‘U Soso Tham’.
  • 19 December (Friday): There will be a holiday once again in Goa, because ‘Goa Liberation Day’ is celebrated on this day.
  • 24 December (Wednesday): Christmas celebrations will start in the northeastern states (Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland), so there will be a holiday there.
  • 25 December (Thursday): Banks will remain closed almost everywhere in India on the occasion of Christmas.
  • 26 and 27 December: Christmas celebrations last longer in some states, so banks in the Northeast may remain closed on these dates as well.
  • 30th and 31st December: Even in the last days of the year, banks will remain closed in states like Meghalaya, Mizoram and Manipur due to local festivals.
