Korba, 18 November (Hindu). A fight broke out between students today outside Atmanand High Secondary School located in Manikpur Chowki area in Korba. A student’s head got injured in the fight. The bloodied student has been sent to the hospital.
It is being told that around 30 to 35 students were united and two groups came face to face. There was already a dispute going on between the two. During lunch time, everyone gathered at the helipad ground adjacent to the school and both the groups had an argument, after which a scuffle started. After the head of the youth got injured during the fight, all the children started running away. Some students nearby talked about giving this information to the police. On hearing the name of the police, the entire helipad became empty and the children ran away.
According to the information, the children who assaulted are of sixth and eighth class. Even before this, incidents of fighting between students have come to light many times in this school. In this regard, we took information from school principal Alka Phillips over phone.
The principal says that he is not aware of the incident. Information is being collected as to when, how and under what circumstances the incident occurred. Let us tell you that Manikpur Chowki Police had registered a crime in the earlier also in the case of assault.
