Khargone: On the second day of the convocation ceremony, the students were taken on a tour of the laboratory, library and college council

Khargone, July 2 (HS). The newly admitted students are being given a Diksharambh program under the guidance of Principal Dr. Shail Joshi at Prime Minister College of Excellence Khargone. On the second day, Tuesday, the new students were introduced to the infrastructure, facilities and student bodies of the college. In which the students were taken on a tour of various laboratories of the college. These include laboratory physics, chemistry, biology, botany, computer science geography laboratory. They were introduced to laboratory equipment, safety protocols and experimental procedures. Laboratory instructors explained the experiments and demonstrations and the students asked questions and showed keen interest.

The students visited the college library, where they were informed about the library's resources, services and rules by the library in-charge Dr. Govind Yadav. They were shown the cataloguing system, issue and return procedures, and availability of e-books and online journals. The librarian emphasised the importance of the library in their academic journey.

The students met members of the College Council who welcomed them and explained the role of the Council in student welfare, extra-curricular activities and decision-making processes. Students were encouraged to participate in college events and join various clubs and societies.

District Organizing Officer Dr. Suresh Awase said that the new students have been introduced to the infrastructure and facilities of the college so that the students can easily carry out their work in the college. They should understand the importance of laboratory experiments, library resources and student participation in college activities. Principal Dr. Shail Joshi said that the convocation program successfully introduced the new students to the academic and extracurricular aspects of the college. We believe that this program will help them easily make the most of their time as students at Pradhan Mantri College of Excellence Khargone.

Women Empowerment Incharge Dr. Lalit Barge informed that Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 is a landmark law in India which aims to provide protection to women against sexual harassment at all workplaces in both public and private sectors. Scholarship Incharge Dr. Ravindra Rawal provided information to the students about various scholarships like Gaon Ki Beti Yojana, Pratibha Kiran Yojana, Medhavi Chhattravad Yojana, Sambal Yojana etc. Dr. Sunaina Chauhan, Dr. GR Masar, Prof. Lalit Bhatania, Prof. Solanki, Dr. US Baghel, Dr. Prof. Gagan Patidar, Prof. Santosh Rathore, Gayatri Dr. Kamala Gautam etc. staff and students were present in the program.
