Khandwa, 4 December (Hindustan Reporter). The urea crisis is not ending in Madhya Pradesh. Farmers are getting angry due to not getting enough urea on time. On Wednesday, farmers, angry over non-availability of urea in Khalwa of Khandwa district, blocked the Khalwa-Saanwali Kheda road by placing bullock carts. Traffic was disrupted due to the traffic jam and the road remained blocked for about half an hour. As soon as the information was received, Tehsildar Rajesh Kochle and Khalwa police officials reached the spot and after giving advice to the angry farmers, got the blockade removed.
On Wednesday morning, the farmers had reached the center to collect urea, but even after waiting from 10 am to 11 am, when the center did not open and the officials did not receive the phone call, the farmers became angry and blocked the road. The angry farmers blocked the road from 11 am to 11.30 am. Here, as soon as the officials got the news of the traffic jam, everyone reached the spot. After the arrival of the administrative officer, the distribution center was opened and in the presence of Tehsildar Rajesh Kochle and police personnel, cash urea was distributed from 12.30 pm.
Farmers say that they have been making rounds of the urea distribution center for three days. The urea truck was empty here on Saturday. Leaving all the work and getting worried to get urea. No one was listening so a blockade had to be made. Farmers said that if we had got urea on time, such a situation would not have happened. While giving advice to the farmers, Tehsildar Rajesh Kochle said that it is wrong to block the roads without any prior information. If you are not getting your urea or have any other problem then contact the concerned officer or let us know. The problem will be solved by getting information about why urea is not being given.
On the delay in distributing urea, Marketing Society Manager Ramkrishna Tirole said that as per government rules, urea has to be distributed through POS machine, but due to the arrival and quantity of urea not being displayed on the machine itself, the employees were facing problems in distributing urea. The arrival of urea has been shown at 12 noon on Wednesday. Urea will be distributed from today.
