Emergency movie trailer out: Kangana is undoubtedly the 'Queen' of Bollywood but she never misses a chance to speak hateful words against Punjab, she often calls Punjabis, especially Sikhs, Khalistanis. Talking about the latest case, the trailer of Kangana's new film Emergency has been launched, after which there is a suspicion that an attempt has been made to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab through this.
Before moving on, you should watch the trailer of the film if you haven't seen it yet.
Although the film revolves around the Emergency and Indira Gandhi, the 2 minute 53 second trailer shows Sikhs in a very negative light. It shows the period of terrorism in Punjab and also features the character of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who shouts, 'Your party wants votes and we want Khalistan.'
Along with this, Sanjay Singh's relationship with extremists and the alleged massacre in Punjab have also been shown. It is often argued that extremism in Punjab and Bhindranwala were created by the Congress, however, there has been constant opposition to this and now when it will be shown on the big screen, opposition is natural.
Regarding this issue, Punjabi film director Amardeep Singh Gill wrote on social media, MP Kangana Ranaut's new film “Emergency” is another “type” of propaganda cinema, the trailer of the film shows that poor Punjabis, especially Sikhs, will have to strongly oppose this film, the censor is also guilty of “passing” this trailer.
This is not the first instance when Kangana has called Sikhs Khalistani and separatists but now it remains to be seen how Punjabis and Sikhs deal with the attempt to portray Sikhs on the big screen.
