Keshav Prasad Maurya paid tribute to Maharishi Valmiki on his birth anniversary by garlanding his portrait.

Keshav Prasad Maurya garlanded the portrait of great poet Maharishi Valmiki Ji on his birth anniversary at his Government Camp Office, 7-Kalidas Marg, Lucknow on Monday and paid homage to him. On this occasion, he extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the country and the state on Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Maharishi Valmiki, who gave the timeless epic ‘Ramayana’ to the whole world by writing down the ideal character of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, has an incomparable contribution in Indian culture and literature. His creation has inspired the society to follow the path of truth, religion, dignity, duty and morality. Maharishi Valmiki, with the light of his wisdom and knowledge, spread the glory of Lord Shri Ram to the common people.
