“Kesh Kala Board” and “Golden Art Commission” will be formed in UP.

Lucknow, 28 November (HS). The meeting of Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes State Commission was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Commission Chairman Rajesh Verma. In this meeting, the proposal for formation of “Hair Art Board” and “Gold Art Commission” was presented.

Manoj Kataria first demanded the formation of “Kesh Kala Board” in the meeting. He pointed out the need for the development of the people associated with the hair art business of the state and to preserve their skills. The Commission unanimously accepted this proposal and decided to send a recommendation to the government for the formation of “Hair Art Board”. Apart from this, a proposal was also made to form a “Gold Art Commission” for the preservation of the ancient gold and silver jewelery making art of the goldsmith society, which was presented by Sanjeev Kumar. The Commission also approved this proposal and decided to send a recommendation to the government.

Providing 27 percent reservation for other backward classes in government construction works was also discussed in the meeting. In the meeting, there was discussion regarding inclusion of Khangar caste in the list of Other Backward Classes. The proposal to increase the income limit of the creamy layer was also considered.

Regarding amendment in the certificate of non-creamy layer, it was decided in the meeting that a proposal on this subject will be prepared and presented before the Speaker. While discussing in detail the proposal to include Gorkha community in the list of Other Backward Classes, the Commission decided that information would be obtained again from the districts.

The issue of ensuring compliance with the reservation system in the posting of police station chiefs was also discussed in the meeting. Considering this as very important for the representation of backward classes, the Commission decided to send a recommendation in this regard to the government. Commission Vice Chairman Sohan Lal Shrimali, other members and Secretary Manoj Kumar Sagar were present in the meeting.
