Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Former Chief Minister of Delhi and convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has written a letter to include the Jat community of Delhi in the OBC list of the Centre. Kejriwal said, ‘You have betrayed the Jat community of Delhi. Jats and other castes having OBC status in Delhi should be included in the Centre’s OBC list.
Jat community cheated in the name of OBC reservation
He said, ‘The central government has betrayed the Jat community for 10 years in the name of OBC reservation. In 2015, you had called the leaders of the Jat community home and promised that the Jat community of Delhi would be included in the OBC list of the Centre. In 2019, Amit Shah had promised to bring the Jat community in the Centre’s OBC list. If the students of Jat community of Rajasthan get reservation in DU, then why not the Jat community of Delhi?
Thousands of children of Jat community do not get admission in DU.
Arvind Kejriwal further said, ‘Thousands of children of Jat community of Delhi are not getting admission in DU due to not being in the OBC list of the Centre. Despite being in the OBC list in Delhi, the Modi government is not allowing the Jat community to get benefits in the central government institutions. The Jat community of Delhi does not get reservation. They do not get reservation in college admissions or jobs. The Prime Minister himself had announced that the Jat community would get reservation, but still they were not included in the Centre’s OBC list.
AAP President targeted
Taking aim at the AAP president, he said, ‘The Home Minister had also promised, but still he was not included. The Prime Minister and the Home Minister are lying. They talk and promise before elections but forget everything later. I have written a letter to the Prime Minister yesterday and reminded him of the promise made to the Jat community.
