Delhi High Court stays bail
It is noteworthy that the Delhi High Court on Tuesday stayed the lower court's decision to grant bail to Chief Minister Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to the liquor policy. The ED approached the High Court against Kejriwal's bail. Vacation Judge Sudhir Kumar said that the lower court failed to appreciate the evidence presented by the ED and did not exercise discretion while passing judgement on the bail plea of the Aam Aadmi Party leader. The High Court said that the ED's objection to the bail order needs to be considered seriously. Hence, the implementation of the impugned order is stayed.
