Due to the complete failure of the AAP government to implement proper policies on industrial waste management and pollution control as well as lack of timely action, the Yamuna river has become poisonous and Delhiites are suffering from dangerously poor quality air.
Chugh took a dig at Kejriwal's unfulfilled promises regarding the “dip and sip” scheme in the Yamuna, saying that in a television interview in 2021, Kejriwal had claimed that he would personally take a bath in the holy river by 2025, but such The promises were just white lies and a gimmick to mislead the innocent people of Delhi. He said that the people of Delhi deserve better than this and only BJP can provide them a clean environment and pure Yamuna river.
