New Delhi: Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has left the Chief Minister's residence on Friday i.e. today (October 4). Kejriwal had already announced to leave the Chief Minister's residence.
Kejriwal was living in CM residence since 2015.
It is noteworthy that after Kejriwal's decision to leave the Chief Minister's residence, many party leaders including MPs, MLAs and councilors had offered him their residence. Since 2015, Kejriwal has been living in the Civil Line residence as Chief Minister.
The new residence is in New Delhi Assembly
Kejriwal's new residence is near AAP headquarters on Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane. He will live in this residence with his family. Party leaders said the New Delhi area is also Kejriwal's assembly constituency and from there he will monitor AAP's campaign for the elections in Delhi and other states.
Sisodia also left his bungalow
Party leaders said Sisodia, along with his family, left the AB-17 bungalow on Mathura Road, which was earlier allotted to him as deputy chief minister. After the arrest of Sisodia in the excise policy case in March 2023, this bungalow was allotted to Delhi government minister and now Chief Minister Atishi.
He said that even after becoming the Chief Minister, Atishi was living in her house in Kalkaji assembly constituency, while Sisodia and his family were living in a bungalow on Mathura Road. He said that no decision has been taken yet regarding the new residence of Atishi, who recently got 'Z' category security.
