Kejriwal has filed a bail plea, hearing will be held at Rouse Avenue Court at 2 pm

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has filed a bail plea in the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday (May 30) in the corruption case related to the Delhi liquor policy. His plea will be heard today at 2 pm. Earlier on May 28, the vacation bench of the Supreme Court refused to hear Kejriwal's interim bail immediately.

The Delhi Chief Minister had sought extension of interim bail on medical grounds for 7 days till June 1 from the Supreme Court. On this, the vacation bench of Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice KV Vishwanathan said that the decision to extend the interim bail will be taken by the CJI, as the decision against Kejriwal in the main case is reserved. Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi presented arguments on behalf of Kejriwal.

Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the liquor policy. After spending 50 days in jail, Kejriwal got bail on May 10. Kejriwal's 21-day bail is ending on June 1. Kejriwal has to surrender on June 2.
