Keir Starmer, son of an instrument maker, is the first graduate in his 'family'

London: Whig (Labour Party) has won the general election in Britain and Rishi Schunke of the Tory (Conservative) Party is gone, now 'Whig' leader Keir Starmer will take power.

Born in 1962, he is the son of a mother who made appliances and worked in the Nursing Home Service (NHS). He began his political career at the age of 16 by joining the Labour Party's youth wing 'Young Socialists'.

A law graduate from the University of Leeds, he became involved in active politics shortly after obtaining a Bachelor of Civil Law degree at Oxford, but before that he rose to prominence as a human rights barrister.

He was also appointed as an advisor to the Policing Board of Northern Ireland and was appointed to the Queen's Counsel in 2002. From 2008 to 2013 he fought high profile cases such as the Stephen Lawrence Murder as Director of Public Safety.

In 2015, he was elected as MP for Holborn and St Mancrasis. In 2016, Starmer supported the 'Britain-Stronger' movement that emerged at the time of the Beatrix referendum. He then advocated for a 'second referendum'.

In particular, he led the Labour Party out of the 'Corwin era' by urging the party to join with a centrist group rather than a left-leaning group, hence why many described him as too right-wing and too right-wing for power.

The main points of his policies are:

(1) Financial stability is their first priority. Stop overspending and focus on financial responsibilities.

(2) Streamlining the nursing home service (NHS) to provide additional 24-hour weekend appointments to meet staff shortages in that area.

(3) Make border security a top priority by creating a Border Security Command to prevent illegal immigration and setting a quota for EU immigrants.

(iv) Building Great Britain Energy and the shift to green energy.

(5) Law and order, strengthening and suppression of anti-social elements.

(6) Recruit 6,500 new teachers to address teacher shortages in the education system.

(7) Foreign Policy: Establishing new strategic partnerships and free trade agreements with India.

(8) The ban on the sale of arms to Israel is (hereby) regarded as the first step towards the recognition of Palestine.
