Keep this in mind while traveling during pregnancy, otherwise the fun will turn into punishment

Women have to take care of many things during pregnancy. Although there is no restriction on travel during this period, but if there are frequent miscarriages (abortions) or the pregnancy is not able to last and the doctor has advised bed rest due to this, then do not travel under any circumstances, otherwise there may be problems. If traveling is very important, then keep these things in mind.

Drive carefully and slowly.
There are a lot of rough spots on the roads due to speed breakers, potholes, etc. Many times the vehicle jumps up to two-four feet. This situation can be dangerous. If you travel by private vehicle, keep the speed of the vehicle very slow and take care of speed breakers and potholes, especially at night. Even if another person or driver is driving the vehicle, give him instructions.

Avoid the crowds
Train travel is considered relatively safe because it is not as busy as a car, but pregnant women traveling by train or bus should avoid crowds. Be especially careful when boarding because if it is too crowded, your stomach may be pressed or you may fall to the ground, which can harm the fetus. Therefore, pregnant women should travel by train only after reservation and avoid going if the ticket window or platform is crowded.

Do not travel long distances
Pregnant women should not travel long distances at once. But there should be a break in between. This means traveling little by little. Even if you want to travel by air, be careful. If your pregnancy is more than 32 weeks, it would be better if you do not travel by air. Because changes in air pressure can cause problems. If it is necessary to travel by air, then follow all the rules that have been made for pregnant women.

It's time to travel
The best time to travel is during the second trimester, when the risk of complications is lowest. You may feel very tired or uncomfortable while traveling in the third trimester. In such a situation, it would be better to choose 14 to 18 weeks for travel. Because at that time there is neither a possibility of miscarriage nor any other problem. Complaints like morning sickness, excessive fatigue, lethargy are less in this month.

Keep these things with you while traveling

  • Keep oral hydration ready in case of diarrhea during travel.
  • A pregnant woman should carry a multivitamin with her.
  • Keep your medical reports with you.
  • Keep food and water with you.
