Death by expired chocolate: A shocking incident has come to light from Ludhiana, Punjab. In Ludhiana, a one and a half year old innocent girl lost her life after eating expired chocolate. A few days ago, a girl had died in Patiala after eating cake.

Expiry date is written on all the food items sold in the market. This date tells how long the food can be safely eaten. After the expiry date, bacteria and fungus start growing in the food which can prove to be very dangerous for health.

Young children are more sensitive to these risks. Their immune system is not yet fully developed, due to which they can easily fall ill. Eliminated food poisoning, vomiting. Can cause diarrhea and sometimes fatal infections.

The Food Safety Department is responsible for checking the quality of food sold in the market and ensuring that only safe food reaches the public. They should regularly inspect shops and take strict action against those selling expired food items.
