Done. He has named this hunger strike as Climate Fast. Nature does not get any serious place in our Parliament and policy-making. So I'm introducing the idea of the right to vote to nature. Sonam Wangchuk is getting tremendous support on social media. At such a time, KDA in Kargil has started a three-day hunger strike from Sunday in support of Wangchuk.
More than 200 members of Kargil Democratic Alliance, councilors, local religious leaders, youth, leaders and social workers reached Hussaini Park in Kargil on Sunday and started a hunger strike. KDA supporters raised slogans in Hussaini Park, 'Restore democracy in Ladakh, bureaucracy is not acceptable'. They will hold a hunger strike in Leh and Kargil till March 26, after which the next strategy will be discussed. KDA leader Sajjad Kargil urged the central government to address the concerns of the people of Ladakh.
Sonam Wangchuk claimed that the central government has broken its promise made to the people of Ladakh four years ago. The central government had once made many promises in its 2019 election manifesto, including including Ladakh in the 6th Schedule. But now after adopting the strategy of delaying the fulfillment of promises for four years, finally on March 4, the central government refused to fulfill its promises. Such attitude of the Central Government is like losing faith in leaders, governments and elections.
