Katra, 28 February (Hindustan Reporter). Katra Premier League started on Wednesday at Katra Sports Stadium. CEO Shrine Board Anshul Garg was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated it by cutting the ribbon.
A total of 32 teams will participate in KPIL Season 4. In this, the winning team will be given a prize of Rs 6 lakh and the runner up team will be given a prize of Rs 3 lakh. On Wednesday, there was a match between Promoted Panthers and Sports Academy Katra. While batting first, Sports Academy Katra scored 153 runs after losing one wicket in 20 overs. While chasing the target, Promoted Panthers Cricket Team was all out after scoring 82 runs in 16 overs and three balls.
The team of Sports Academy Katra won the match by 71 runs. Man of the match was given to Sports Academy Katra batsman Aveed. Abhid remained not out after scoring 57 while batting and also took two wickets while bowling. Meanwhile, CEO Shrine Board Anshul Garg said about KPL Season 04 that this is a big deal for the residents of Katra city and cricket lovers.
For the last 4 years, continuous efforts have been made to improve the tournament. He said that whatever cooperation has been received from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board will continue in the same manner in future too. Efforts will be made to increase the facilities as well as the convenience of this tournament in collaboration with GK Cricket Association. Emphasis will also be laid on what are the needs of cricket players.
On this occasion, Additional CEO Alok Kumar Maurya, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Special Pal Mahajan, SDM Katra Piyush Dhotara, PHD Chamber President Arun Kumar Gupta, Hotel Association President Rakesh Wazir, Wrestling Association President Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sports Club with Virendra Kesar. School children and townspeople were present along with the members.
