A landslide has been reported on the Mata Vaishno Devi route near Dakshin Dewari in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to which the journey on this route has been stopped. Then heavy rains were seen in Katra. Due to which the devotees are facing difficulties. The travel route got blocked due to the sudden landslide. After this, the administration has temporarily closed this route and opened an alternative route for the devotees. According to the officials of the Shrine Board, the pilgrimage has started again. Officials have reached the landslide site.
Heavy rain warning at various places in Jammu and Kashmir
Importantly, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a warning of heavy rain in various places of Jammu and Kashmir in the next 24 hours. The temple of Mata Vaishno Devi is on the Trikuta hill in Katra. 13 cm of rain has been recorded there. The IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain in the area till August 16. Although the devotees caught in the landslide were saved, it was a matter of relief. The Meteorological Department had already issued an advisory regarding rain in Jammu and Kashmir.
Light to moderate rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand
It has been said that light to moderate rain or storm may occur in many areas on August 15. There is a possibility of rain in the morning from 16 to 20 August. At the same time, the department has predicted light to moderate rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There may be sporadic rain at many places in Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Heavy rains predicted in many states
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many states. The department has said that there will be heavy rains in eastern Rajasthan and Punjab. Many areas of Himachal Pradesh may receive heavy rains till August 18. Many areas of Uttarakhand will receive rains till August 20. Along with this, a yellow alert has also been declared by the Meteorological Department in many states.
