Katarnia Ghat opened for tourists, Forest Minister inaugurated eco tourism session

Lucknow, 06 November (HS). Tourists will now be able to enjoy the beauty of jungle safari in the dense forests of Katarniaghat and Nishangada range as well as boating in the Gerua river. The eco-tourism session was inaugurated in a grand manner on Wednesday by Forest Minister Dr. Done by Arun Kumar Saxena. While addressing the people, Forest Minister Saxena told about the development works and achievements being made by the government in the field of promoting tourism.

FD showed the video short film made on forest and tourism on the projector to the people present at the Nature Protection Center and told them about the arrangements and features of this tourism session. After the inauguration, Forest Minister Dr. Arun Saxena, along with the MLA and senior officials of the Forest Department, took stock of the preparations for the tourism season by going on jungle safari and boating with Jinan Gypsy.

Tourism in-charge Forest Inspector Mayank Pandey said that from the first day of the session, tourists will be able to see the beauty of the forest by doing jungle safari in the dense forests of Katarniaghat and Nishangada range, and will also be able to enjoy boating in the Gerua river. On this occasion Sudhir Sharma Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Manoj Singh Additional Chief Secretary, Sanjay Srivastava Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, PP Singh CSF, Aditi Sharma CSF, MLA Saroj Sonkar Saroj Yadav etc. were present.

– Exhibition of Tharu handicraft products was the center of attraction

On the occasion of the inauguration of the tourism season, under the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana, an exhibition of Tharu handicraft products was organized by tribal women in collaboration with the Forest Corporation at the Nature Interpretation Center of Katarniaghat. In the exhibition, a stall of indigenous products made from trees and plants under Tharu culture was set up in which more than two dozen products were put up for sale, including pots, pots, baskets, slippers, purses, slippers, caps etc.
