The actor has undergone minor surgery (arthroscopic procedure) on his knee at a private hospital in Mumbai. Kartik Aryan suffered a serious knee injury while filming an intense action and training scene during the shooting of the sports-drama film ‘Chandu Champion’ directed by famous film director Kabir Khan. However, according to doctors, the surgery has been completely successful and the actor’s condition is stable.

The film ‘Chandu Champion’ is a biopic sports drama based on the extraordinary life of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. To bring this character alive on screen, Karthik Aryan had practiced rigorous physical training, heavy weightlifting, swimming and professional boxing for several months.
During the shooting, he strained his knee ligament/cartilage while performing a high-octane fight sequence and complex stunts. At that time, Karthik had completed the required schedule of the film with the help of painkillers and first aid, but after chronic pain increased and medical examination, doctors advised him to undergo surgery.
Surgery successful, doctors advised complete bed rest for a few weeks
According to hospital sources and the team close to Karthik, the surgery process has been completed without any complications. Doctors have given strict instructions to the actor not to put extra pressure on his knee and to remain on complete bed rest for the next few weeks. After this, he will have to undergo rehabilitation and physiotherapy sessions so that the strength and flexibility of the knee can be completely regained. Only after the actor completely recovers will he start the dance and action schedule of his next projects.

Kartik Aryan is one of those Bollywood actors who is known for crossing every limit of body transformation and method acting for his characters. For ‘Chandu Champion’, Kartik had reduced his body fat from about 39% to single digit (about 7%) body fat.
