KRSTC to launch bus service from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation is set to start bus services from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad and Bengaluru to Jagannathpuri soon. This AC sleeper bus designed in European style will cover an estimated distance of 1500 km on the new route. KSRTC has taken this decision due to increasing competition from private operators and increasing demand for Ahmedabad-Bengaluru travel. Currently it is also running on long routes covering a distance of 1000 km each to Mumbai and Shirdi.
Longest route of private operators to Jaisalmer
However, currently private bus operators also provide bus services on various routes from Bangalore to Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. The longest route is 2000 km to Jaisalmer. At the same time, till now there was no direct bus service from Bangalore to Puri in Odisha, but now it has been decided to start a bus service on this route in view of the increasing number of devotees. However, now under the government bus facility, passengers have to pay about Rs. Anyone can reach Bangalore from Ahmedabad in 27 to 28 hours at a nominal rate of 2500.
Management statement and procurement plan
KSRTC is seeking approval from the road transport corporations of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh for this new bus service, which is expected to get a positive response. Two buses will be run on each of these routes initially. These buses manufactured under the Ambari Utsav brand will not have onboard toilets. KSRTC has purchased 20 multi-axle AC sleeper buses under Ambari Utsav, each costing Rs. 1.8 crore. These new buses have advanced technology compared to the old models.
