Actually, the injured youth had participated in the Ganesh Visarjan procession. The people injured in the incident have been identified as Darshan Patil, Satish Pujari and Praveen Gundiyagola. Belgaum Police Commissioner E Martin said that the stabbing incident took place near the Civil Hospital. Actually, during the immersion procession, two youths who were dancing touched each other. After this, there was a quarrel and scuffle between the two. The police present there explained to both of them and separated them from there.

After the procession ended, a young man came there with his friends and beat up the three and attacked them with a knife. The police is investigating the matter. Regarding this incident, Police Commissioner E Martin said that this incident did not happen during the procession. The incident took place near the Civil Hospital. The incident happened after the procession ended. We found that there was already some enmity between the victim and the accused, due to which this incident happened.
The Police Commissioner said that in this incident, all the people were dancing during Ganesh Visarjan. They suddenly had an argument among themselves, which led to a fight. All three suffered minor injuries. His condition is stable and he is undergoing treatment, was the accused intoxicated with alcohol.
