Kareena Kapoor Khan recently shared her second pregnancy and experiences during the shooting of the film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ in an interview. At that time, she was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and 50-60% of the shooting of the film was already completed. She was quite nervous about the news of pregnancy, but Aamir Khan fully supported her.
Kareena was scared of the news of pregnancy
Kareena said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
“When I found out I was pregnant, my first thought was, ‘Oh my God, we’re in the middle of shooting this movie, and I have to tell Aamir.’”
Kareena told that there was already an atmosphere of uncertainty due to the epidemic. Her husband Saif Ali Khan encouraged her to talk to Aamir Khan.
“Saif told me, ‘You should tell Aamir immediately. We don’t know when the lockdown will end, or what’s going to happen next.'”
Staying at home amid lockdown and big responsibility
Kareena further said that she and Saif were spending a lot of time at home during the pandemic. He said jokingly:
“Sitting at home for one and a half years, no one had much work. Meanwhile this news came.”
Saif encouraged Kareena to pick up the phone and express her views clearly.
Aamir Khan’s positive reaction
Kareena told that when she called Aamir Khan, he behaved in a very supportive and understanding manner.
“I told Aamir, ‘If you want, you can replace me. I am a mother and I want to have another child. Should I apologize for this?’
To this Aamir replied:
‘I’m happy for you. We will complete the film together. I will wait. Whatever happens, we’ll do it together.'”
Working during pregnancy and Aamir’s support
Kareena also revealed that Aamir Khan’s support gave her confidence during the shooting of the film. Despite challenges like the pandemic and pregnancy, Aamir’s support was inspiring for her.

Kareena said that sometimes such situations come suddenly in life, but she is happy that Aamir showed understanding by standing with her on this occasion.
“Aamir assured me that the film would be completed only through our partnership, and this was the greatest example of his collaboration.”
