Mumbai: Karan Johar is infamous for recreating superhit songs from old films. Now he has sung the song 'Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam Shukriya Meherbani Karam' from his own production 'Duplicate' in the film 'Bad News'. The recreated song has been filmed on Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri.

This song was filmed in the movie 'Duplicate' starring Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla and Sonali Bendre and became a hit then. The movie was produced by Karan Johar's company Dharma Productions while it was directed by Mahesh Bhatt.

The original song is sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Now Karan Johar has recreated this song with Lijo George and DJ Chetas. It is worth noting that singer Alka Yagnik has already opposed the use of old hit songs in the name of recreating them.

Karan Johar recently used the famous song 'Jhumkha Gira Re Bareli Ke Bazaar Mein' from Sunil Dutt and Sadhna's film 'Mera Saya' in Ranveer and Alia Bhatt's 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'.

Cinema lovers are expressing their anger over the fact that Karan Johar calls the theft of old songs as recreation but in reality it is a result of creativity. Even after the release of the new song of 'Bad News' on social media, most fans are repeating the same thing that original hit songs should not be tampered with.
