Mumbai: Chidambaram S Poduval's Malayalam film 'Mammamel Boys' is doing well at the South box office. Karan Johar is planning to remake the all-time superhit Malayalam box office film, but the original makers have not given him credit.
According to the film's producer and artist Shobin Sahir, the story of the film is so closely related to the interiors of Kerala and Tamil Nadu that making it in Hindi would destroy the essence of the original film. The film features completely new faces and thus has made its mark among the audience. On the other hand, Karan Johar is notorious for making the Hindi remake rights of good South language films highly glamorous and star-centric. Karan Johar has nothing to do with the art of film.
