Kanpur, 24 October (Hindustan Reporter). Kisan Fair plays a big role in the progress of farmers. By organizing such fairs, farmers come face to face with new technologies. Kisan Mela is a big Kumbh of agriculture, which proves helpful in making the farmers progressive. That is why every year CSA has been benefiting the farmers by organizing Kisan Mela and it has a huge contribution in the Green Revolution. These things were said by Dr. Sanjay Singh, Director General of Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Research Council (UPCAR) in the Kisan Mela organized at CSA on Thursday.

Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology (CSA) is organizing a two-day All India Farmers Fair and Agro Industry Exhibition. On Thursday, as the chief guest, Director General of Upkar, Dr. Sanjay Singh inaugurated the program by cutting the ribbon. He visited all the places organized in the fair and also observed the agricultural techniques displayed at the stalls. Before this, he honored the progressive farmers of the state. Dr. Singh said that new species of mustard and other crops have been developed by this university. Which is also climate adapted, he laid special emphasis on the cultivation of maize and potatoes.

University Vice Chancellor Dr. Anand Kumar Singh said that agriculture has a major contribution in the country's economy. Adopt climate-adapted species according to climate change, so that the income of farmers can increase. He stressed on minimal use of agricultural chemicals, so that the quality of agricultural production remains intact. On this occasion, books written by the Directorate of Propagation were also released. In the program, children of primary schools located in the university campus were also rewarded with kits. During this, Director Extension Dr. R.K. Yadav, Dr. VK Kanojia, Dr. Arvind Kumar, Dr. CL Maurya, Dr. Vijay Kumar Yadav, Dr. PK Upadhyay, Dr. Mukta Garg and Chairman of Farmers Committee Babu Singh and presidents/scientists of all agricultural science centers. And more than five thousand farmers from different parts of the state were present.
