Kanpur, 23 August (HS). On the first day of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Examination, a total of 36698 candidates appeared in the examination in both the shifts. While a total of 51600 candidates were supposed to appear in both the shifts, 14902 candidates could not appear. During the second shift, a case of cheating was registered against a candidate. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Harishchandra on Friday evening.
He informed that 25,800 candidates were to appear in the first shift, out of which 18175 appeared and 25,800 candidates were to appear in the second shift, out of which 18514 appeared, that is, a total of 36,698 candidates were present in both the shifts.
To ensure smooth and error-free conduct of the examination at 69 examination centres, a district nodal officer, 1 assistant nodal officer, 4 zone nodal officers, 4 zone assistant nodal officers, 10 gazetted sector police officers, 69 in-charge examination centres, 69 in-charge examination centre control rooms have been appointed. To ensure smooth conduct of the examination, a total of 1466 police officers and employees were deployed including 5 Deputy Commissioners of Police, 5 Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, 10 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 59 Inspectors, 298 Sub-Inspectors, Lady Sub-Inspectors, 760 Head Constables and Constables, 329 Lady Head Constables and Lady Constables. Continuous and intensive monitoring was done through CCTV cameras. Police officers and flying squad teams kept visiting all the centres. The examination was conducted smoothly in both the shifts.
Some suspicious information was received during the examination and legal action was taken
When a suspicious candidate was questioned in the second shift of the constable recruitment exam at DAV Inter College located in Kotwali police station area, he told his name as Yogesh Saraswat son of Yogendra Saraswat resident of Alipur police station Yamuna Paar and told that he has passed the high school examination twice by mentioning different birth dates. He passed the first time in the year 2010 from Shobhran Singh Inter College Sihora police station Yamuna Paar district Mathura in which his date of birth is 10 January 1995 and his name is Yogesh Kumar Saraswat and father's name is Yogendra Kumar Saraswat. And in the year 2016 he passed the high school examination from Hardam Singh Inter College Noorpur police station Baldev district Mathura in which his date of birth is 1 January 2000 and his name is Yogesh Saraswat and father's name is Yogendra Saraswat. He has passed the examination twice on different birth dates to reduce his age. In this regard, legal action was taken by registering a case against him at Kotwali police station under various sections including fraud.
The second incident was during the first shift of the examination held at Juhari Devi Degree College under Thana Cantonment of Kanpur city, Regional Manager of Innovative View India Private Limited, Noida, Robin Verma, the agency conducting the examination, informed Mrs. Mamta Yadav, the administrator of the above examination center, through telephone, that the biometric data of the candidate Bittu son of Bhure Singh, resident of Sirsa Khas, Sirsaganj district Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, who had come to your examination center, is mismatching. On this information, the center administrator informed Inspector Javed Ahmed, who was on examination duty, about the above. Taking the matter seriously, the local police station Cantonment was informed. After the examination, on this information, the local police brought the above candidate to the police station and took his thumb impression by the surveillance team and biometrics and checked other related documents. After the authenticity of the above candidate was verified during the investigation, he was sent home under the instructions of higher officials.
In the third incident, a student Arun Kumar Yadav, son of Raghuraj Yadav, aged 20 years, resident of Naya Ramnagar, Jalaun, had to leave the exam during the first shift at the examination centre Armapur PG College due to sudden illness. The student was immediately taken to Armapur Hospital by the policemen on duty, where his condition improved after the doctors gave him medication.
