Kannauj: Polling duty personnel and journalist voters cast their votes

Kannauj, 07 May (Hindus). It is noteworthy that this time the Election Commission of India has provided the facility to the Essential Service voters to vote through postal ballot, in which journalists participated enthusiastically. Most of the personnel engaged in essential services were deprived of voting due to media coverage on the voting day, some journalists were deprived of voting, the Commission understood the pain of this and provided facility to vote through postal ballot.

In the second training program of polling personnel organized in two shifts at Police Lines, Kannauj, the polling personnel on duty exercised their franchise through postal ballot at the Voter Facilitation Center set up in St. Xavier's School. Thus, 50 voters in Assembly 198-Kannauj, 52 in 196-Chhibramau, 78 in 197-Tirwa and 22 voters from other districts, a total of 202 personnel voted. Till date, EDC election duty certificates have been distributed to a total of 609 personnel deployed on duty in the district.
