Kanker, 21 October (Hindustan Reporter). October 21 is celebrated every year as Police Memorial Day in memory of the brave martyrs who lost their lives while maintaining the security of the country and maintaining law and order.
Today on Monday, Kanker Police paid tribute to the martyred soldiers on Police Memorial Day at the Martyr Memorial Ground. On this occasion, a program was organized in the memory of the sacrificed police personnel, Kanker MLA Asharam Netam, Superintendent of Police IK were present in the program. Alisela, SSP Manisha Raote, along with all the policemen of the district and the martyr families, paid tribute to the sacrificed policemen.
Kanker SP IK Elisela said that in the last one year, 216 policemen have been martyred, out of which 11 are from Chhattisgarh and 19 are from BSF, the names of all of them were mentioned on Martyr's Day, whereas today, especially the members of the martyred families are being mentioned on Police Memorial Day. Along with this, the problem of the martyred families was also resolved.
