Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jeevan Jot Kaur said that BJP MP Kangana Ranaut should provide proof of the rape that took place during the farmers' movement, otherwise she should resign from Parliament.
AAP MLAs Jeevan Jot Kaur, Amandeep Kaur Arora and party's women wing president Preeti Malhotra, while talking to reporters, said that Kangana has deliberately made statements defaming the farmers and women of Punjab. They said that Kangana has said that there is evidence of rape of women in the farmers' movement. If Kangana has proof of this, then she should present it. If not, then she should apologize for her bad statement and resign from the post of MP.
Jeevan Jot said that the leaders of Punjab BJP should also clarify their stand on Kangana's statement whether they stand with the farmers and women of Punjab or with their own party MP Kangana Ranaut. If they stand with the farmers, then they should raise Kangana's issue in front of the central leadership of the party and demand her expulsion from the party.
AAP MLA Amandeep Kaur Arora reacted to BJP leader Harjit Grewal's statement and said that he should publicly condemn Kangana and demand action against Kangana from the party. She said that if someone does such a cheap thing to run his film, then Harjit Grewal, being a Punjabi, should stand with the farmers and women of Punjab.
