Chandigarh: Kangana Ranaut, BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh, has once again come into controversy by making wrong comments against the farmers. Although the Bharatiya Janata Party has ignored Kangana Ranaut's statement and has also warned her not to make such statements in future, on the other hand, the United Kisan Morcha has taken strong cognizance of the comments made against the farmers.
Jagmohan Singh Patiala, leader of the United Kisan Morcha, said that the farmer leaders have taken strong cognizance of the insulting and wrong facts being presented to the farmers. He said that if Kangana does not apologize publicly, the farmers will have to take strict action.
The farmer leader said that Kangana Ranaut has called the farmers murderers, rapists, conspirators and traitors. Even before this, BJP leaders had made wrong comments against the farmers, but Kangana Ranaut has crossed all limits. He said that the most important achievement of the farmers' movement is its wide scope and the supreme sacrifice of 736 farmers.
Four of them are farmers, who are among the five victims of the Lakhimpur Kheri massacre, while a journalist was killed and several others injured when heavy vehicles carrying former home minister Ajay Tani Mishra and his son Ashish Monu Mishra ran over them. The farmers' movement is the successor to the great anti-colonial struggle of the Indian people against British imperialism and still fights against imperialist corporate forces and policies.
The United Kisan Morcha has demanded an apology from the farmers for the derogatory remarks made by MP Kangana on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Prime Minister should stand with the 'annadaata'. The United Kisan Morcha has demanded that Kangana Ranaut immediately apologize unconditionally to the farmers for the wrong statements and if she does not do so, the United Kisan Morcha will have no option but to call for a public boycott of Kangana.
