Palamu, 7 August (HS). ACB has arrested Vidyani Bakhla, the headmistress of the Government Plus Two High School Kandi in Kandi police station area of Garhwa district, while taking a bribe of five thousand rupees. After the arrest, the headmistress was brought to the Medininagar office of ACB, from where she was sent to judicial custody.
Headmistress Vidyani Bakhla is a resident of Bairia in Ramakanda police station area of Garhwa district. According to Palamu ACB, Headmistress Vidyani Bakhla had demanded a bribe of 20 thousand from the vocational teacher of the school. The vocational teacher has been working since 2019. The vocational teacher is serving through NGO. The headmistress used to demand a bribe of 20 thousand from him every year. His honorarium is 20 thousand per month. If 20 thousand was not given, the headmistress used to talk about removing the vocational teacher and did not sign the monthly attendance while the teacher was not in favor of giving bribe. He complained about this in the Medininagar office of Anti-Corruption Bureau Palamu.
The matter was verified by the Deputy Superintendent of Police of ACB and after properly investigating the matter, a case was registered in this regard on August 6. On August 7, a team of ACB reached Kandi Government Plus Two High School along with the affected teacher and as soon as the headmistress took a bribe of Rs 5000 from the plaintiff teacher, she was arrested red handed.
